Al DeLONER c’était l’âme du groupe Norvégien Midnight Choir dont l’album «Amsterdam Stranded» produit par Chris Eckman reste un album culte de la fin des années 1990 en Europe du Nord. Al DeLONER poursuit depuis 2004 une carrière solo. «Itchy and the girl dancing» est son cinquième album, enregistré par Phil Freeborn (PJ Harvey, John Parish) au studio Neuphobia à Berlin avec de nombreux invités dont Chris Hughes (Nick Cave & the bad seeds), John C. Barry & Stephane Doucerain (Nikki Sudden & the last bandits), Chris Eckman (The Walkabouts) & Terry Lee Hale. Les compositions aériennes d’AL DeLONER sont à déguster délicieusement. Un album façonné comme une mosaïque de voyages. Dans les pas de Neil Young et de Gérard Manset. Ses albums précédents, «Flora in the Darkroom» et «Mountains on the Moon» sont à ne pas manquer. «Itchy and the girl dancing» marque un aboutissement.
